	JOSÉ MANUEL RODRÍGUEZ ARNÁEZ, GALARDÓN DE LAS ARTES DE LA RIOJA 2008
	EL ARTISTA, CONOCIDO COMO “ARNÁEZ”, RECONOCIDO POR EL GOBIERNO RIOJANO
El Gobierno de La Rioja ha distinguido al pintor, grabador, ceramista y diseñador gráfico José Manuel Rodríguez Arnáez (Haro, 1944), conocido artísticamente como Arnáez, con el Galardón de las Artes de La Rioja 2008. Arnáez ha participado en 50 exposiciones individuales y 80 colectivas en España, Francia, Inglaterra, Suiza, Rumanía, Suecia, Estados Unidos, Chile y Guinea. Autor de diez libros de artista con dibujos y/o grabados originales en edición numerada y firmada. Representante español en las bienales de Valparaíso, Bucarest y París. Su obra está representada en 23 museos y colecciones públicas españolas y extranjeras, como The Hispanic Society of America de Nueva York o la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid. José Manuel Rodríguez Arnáez es Doctor en Ciencias Políticas, Licenciado en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales, y Profesor Mercantil. Funcionario de la Comunidad de Madrid jubilado. 	THE ARTIST, KNOWN AS “ARNÁEZ”, IS ACKNOWLEDGED BY THE RIOJAN GOVERNMENT
The Government of La Rioja has awarded the painter, potter, graphic designer and engraver José Manuel Rodríguez Arnáez (Haro, 1944), artistically known as Arnáez, with the Galardón de las Artes de La Rioja 2008. Arnáez has participated in 50 individual exhibitions and 80 collective ones in Spain, France, England, Switzerland, Romania, the United Status, Chile and Guinea. He is the author of ten books of original drawings and engraving in a signed and numbered edition. He is the Spanish representative in the biennial exhibitions of Valparaiso, Bucharest and Paris. His works are exhibited in 23 museums and Spanish and international public collections, such as those of The Hispanic Society of America in New York or the National Library in Madrid. José Manuel Rodríguez Arnáez has a PhD in Politics and a degree in Business and Economy, apart from being a Professor of comerse. He is a retired civil servant of the Community of Madrid.
