	II CONGRESO DE BIOÉTICA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE LA RIOJA
	SE CELEBRARÁ DEL 10 AL 12 DE ABRIL Y EL 6 DE MAYO
La Universidad de La Rioja acoge el II Congreso de Bioética que, del 10 al 12 de abril, abordará el 'Presente y futuro en la investigación con células troncales: su utilización en terapia regenerativa'. El II Congreso de Bioética de la Universidad de La Rioja toma el testigo de las Jornadas de Bioética 'Retos de la reproducción asistida (ART): Aspectos médicos, éticos y jurídicos' celebradas en marzo de 2007. Durante cuatro jornadas, del 10 al 12 de abril y el martes 6 de mayo, se van a dar cita en la Universidad de La Rioja expertos del mundo académico y sanitario para participar en nueve ponencias, dos mesas redondas y la proyección del documental 'Células troncales'. Los intervinientes proceden tanto de las Universidades de La Rioja, Navarra, Valencia y Zaragoza como de la Clínica Universitaria de Navarra y el Hospital de la Paz. Desde hace una década se viene trabajando para obtener células troncales de distintas fuentes que puedan producir tejidos humanos con el fin de tratar enfermedades hoy todavía incurables. El II Congreso de Bioética quiere informar y formar sobre el estado actual de dichas investigaciones y sobre los interrogantes médicos-científicos, éticos y jurídicos que suscitan y a los que se enfrentan los profesionales de la salud y la sociedad. 	II BIOETHICS CONGRESS IN THE UNIVERSITY OF LA RIOJA
	FROM THE 10TH TO THE 12TH APRIL AND 6TH MAY
The University of La Rioja is the venue for the II Bioethics Congress which, from the 10th to the 12th April, will deal with “the Present and Future in the research of stem cells; its use in regenerative therapy”. The II Bioethics Congress in the University of La Rioja picks up the baton of the Bioethics Sessions “Challenges of Assisted Reproduction (ART): Legal, ethic and medical aspects” held in March 2007. For 4 days, from the 10th to the 12th April and on the 6th May, experts of the worlds of education and health will gather to participate in 9 lectures, two round tables and the screening of the documentary “Stem Cells”. The participants come form the universities of La Rioja, Navarre, Valencia and Zaragoza and also form the Clínica Universitaria de Navarra and La Paz Hospital. Experts have been working for a decade to obtain cells from different sources to produce human tissue to treat diseases which nowadays are still incurable. The II Bioethics Congress aims at giving information about the current state of such research and the legal, ethic, medical and scientific queries it raises, which must be faced by these experts.
