	PAISAJES DE LA RIOJA EN URUGUAY
	EXPOSICIÓN EN EL CENTRO RIOJANO DE MONTEVIDEO
El Centro de Riojano de Uruguay realizó del 7 al 9 de abril, en los salones del Club Español de Montevideo, una exposición de cuadros, óleos, bordados y puzzles, que además del aspecto cultural en sí, tuvo una finalidad social pues cada visitante llevó como entrada un alimento no perecedero y todo lo obtenido se donó al Hogar Español de Ancianos. La pintora María Luisa Izquierdo presentó una serie de cuadros con paisajes de La Rioja, lo que fue muy emotivo para los riojanos presentes, pues les permitió evocar con cariño, diversas zonas de la tierra riojana. Gabriel Martínez Calvo, con sus jóvenes 87 años, tiene como hobby armar puzzles y con la exposición de los mismos deleitó a los asistentes y demostró de que cuando hay entusiasmo, amor y dedicación, la edad no es un obstáculo para obtener logros importantes. Junto a los artistas riojanos con sus cuadros y puzzles, se presentaron óleos y bordados realizados por uruguayos muy cercanos al Centro Riojano de Uruguay y que fueron especialmente invitados. En suma un evento muy exitoso, que marca el inicio a una serie de actividades que los riojanos de Uruguay se han propuesto realizar para difundir a su tierra y a la vez colaborar con obras de hondo contenido social, según informó nuestro compañero y amigo Juan Pedro Puignau Draper. 	RIOJAN LANDSCAPES IN URUGUAY
	EXHIBITION AT THE RIOJAN CENTRE IN MONTEVIDEO
The Riojan Centre in Urugay held from 7th to 9th April, in the exhibition rooms of the Spanish Club of Montevideo, an exhibition about paintings, oil paintings, needlework and jigsaws which, apart from their cultural aspect, had a social purpose, Because every visitor brought food as the ticket and this food was donated to the Spanish Centre for the Elderly. The painter María Luisa Izquierdo presented a series of pictures with Riojan landscapes, which was very touching for the people from La Rioja there, because they could remember diverse areas of La Rioja. Gabriel Martínez Calvo, 87, usually fits jigsaw pieces and at the exhibition he surprised the attendants and proved that when there is love, dedication and enthusiasm, age is not an obstacle. Together with the Riojan artists and their jigsaw puzzles and pictures, there were also oil paintings and needlework by people from Uruguay, specially invited for the occasion. Summing up, it was a successful act, and it starts a series of activities the Riojan in Uruguay are going to fulfil so as to promote their land and at the same time collaborate with society, according to our friend and colleague Juan Pedro Puignau Draper.
